Welcome to the very first blog post of The Photo Booth App. My name is Manuel and I'm the solo developer behind this project. I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself, share why I built this app, and give you a glimpse of what's coming next.
A few years ago, I was planning a birthday party and wanted something interactive for the guests. Something that would get people laughing, posing, and making memories together. Photo booths were everywhere at events, but renting a professional one was expensive. And the apps I found on the App Store? They were either ugly, complicated, or both.
So I decided to build my own.
What started as a quick weekend project quickly grew into something much bigger. The first version was simple: a camera, a countdown timer, and a clean layout. But once I started testing it at real events with friends and family, the ideas kept coming.
People wanted props. They wanted filters. They wanted custom backgrounds, photo strips, and easy sharing. Every event taught me something new about what makes a great photo booth experience.
I kept building. I kept listening. And before I knew it, I had an app that people were actually excited to use.
There are other photo booth apps out there, so why this one? Here's what I focused on from day one:
The Photo Booth App has already been used at all kinds of events: weddings, birthdays, corporate gatherings, holiday parties, and more. Each one has helped shape the app into what it is today.
The best features didn't come from a roadmap I wrote in isolation. They came from real people at real events telling me what would make their experience better.
This blog will be the place where I share updates, tips, and behind the scenes stories about building The Photo Booth App. Here's what you can expect:

Thank you for being here from the beginning. I'm excited to build this together.
